Minimalist. Traditional. Mid-century modern, no matter the look – cabinetry will be a part of your design. When you’re beautifying your home, you want to ensure your space suits both form and function. You may have an idea in your head of how you want your home to look, we’re here to help you make sure your plans can come to life, or show how to tweak things to create the high-end look you’re after. Our design team shares the fundamentals of our cabinetry design process and what you can always expect from our Cabinet Chic.
From Concept to Custom Cabinets
You want your home to look Pinterest ready and your storage is a big part of achieving the look. We’ll take the concept of you or your client’s dream design and help choose cabinetry with balanced scale and ample storage. We can sketch the look of the cabinets and create 3-D renderings to give you a true picture of how your cabinet design will look before we make the first cut.The professional cabinet designers at C & C Cabinets will help you turn your concept into a gorgeously custom room. Why Work with a Designer
While you could order from a big box store, their storage options are built for the masses and aren’t made from quality materials that last. Go from cookie cutter to a custom dream! Creating cabinets with a designer gives you the exact look you want and can save you money long-term by using better quality wood. Of course, it’s more than the wood type selection. Designers will create a custom cabinet layout, plan for door style, and select a color that will really give your project a haute couture finish. A professional will also relieve the ‘measure twice cut once’ stress! We pay attention to detail and will make sure your design is the perfect fit. We’ll go over your floor plan and the design from multiple vantage points to help you visualize the final design. At C & C Cabinets, we offer a free quote either in-home or virtually. Testing Your Design Idea
Every idea can be great, but sometimes they may not quite fit...it is good to test the layout you have in your head. Of course, this is easier if done in an empty space or a new home build. If existing cabinetry is in place, you can use the current measurements to see the scale of the redesign. Here’s how you can take your idea off the paper and test your design ideas:
TAPE MEASURE: Refer to your home’s floor plan and use a tape measure and masking or painters' tape to mark where the cabinets, appliances or pieces of dining furniture will be placed. Take a step back. Walk around. Get a feel for how the cabinetry will elevate your room.
NEWSPAPER OR MOVING BOXES: Use paper pages or old pieces of moving boxes to mimic the footprint of your cabinetry and/or appliances. You can move the pages around within the room to find the best fit. This is a perfect way to envision the size and placement of the center island. Is there enough room for the wine fridge, extra storage in front of the barstools, and how many seats can fit? So many questions to make the design just right!

What to Expect from C & C Cabinets
We don’t just make it look pretty; we make it function properly. Every design starts with a sketch. Then during the design process, we’ll create your custom cabinet layout, front-facing elevation, and the 3-D perspective. Our detailed planning and design process allow us to create a good product and experience.
FLOOR PLAN
Shows the wall layout from above. It works as an outline of all the components going into the area. For us, this includes base cabinets, wall cabinets, and tall pantry-style cabinets.
ELEVATION
With this you’ll see each wall of cabinetry as if standing and facing it. This view helps clients to see the detail and have a better vision for the detail of the cabinetry. Unlike the overhead view of the floorplan, the elevation can also show the heights of various cabinetry components in the space.
PERSPECTIVE
Perspective drawings are three-dimensional (3-D). These renderings show the room as it’d be seen by a person of average height (5’6” tall). Many clients like this stage of the design process because you can see greater details than what’s presented in the elevation drawing.
